Remembering Sacrifices Made This Day

The commemoration of 70 years after the D-Day invasion to liberate Europe is today.  Let us take time to honor and pray for those of what Tom Brokaw has called "The Greatest Generation"  who served our country in this historic event.  Many were lost in this conflict and now occupy the hallowed ground of the Normandy American Cemetery & Memorial overlooking Omaha Beach.  One of these individuals is my Uncle, Lawrence A. Roberts, who was among the first to make the ultimate sacrifice that day.  I will be saying a special prayer in his memory and the memory of his fallen comrades.  Sincerely,  Alan D. Roberts
